Smart routes takes the original route and stretches it to the first down marker. What’s the use of calling a play on third down if your receiver’s route is not passed the first down line. To effect the smart route play a part on PlayStation 2 and 3 press the triangle button leading. Therefore press the icon of the receiver you want to smart route. Press the icon of the receiver press down on the analog stick. For Xbox 360 press the Y button and press the icon of the receiver. At present press down on the analog stick to smart route your receiver.
