December 4, 2009 – 4:57 pmA Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) game called Earthbound is a greatly unusual RPG game as well as lots of fun to play.
In this game, you are a young boy who lives in Eagleland and you have psychic powers. Giygas, who is a very strong, powerful and strange being has threatened to destroy everything in your land. You are to travel across the globe and visit all of the “My Sanctuaries” and collect the melodies that you find. While you are doing this, you must fight anything that gets in your way. This includes coffee pots too. On your journey, you will find another girl like you who is psychic. You will also meet another young child who is amazing and take anything and turn it into a gun. You will meet a young prince by the name of Dalaam who is very well practice in the art of Mu. With this wonderful team, you will be able to stop Giygas as well as defeat the all mighty destroyer.
The information above does not even begin to describe all of the events in the game. Even though the game is pretty straight forward, it also expects you to explore the environment around you. You can experience many different things by talking to those you encounter. You can also find many different secrets as long as you are willing to explore and find them. The two sesame seeds that are love are my personal favorites. However, you can bypass all of the extras in the game and it will still pop out with some strange things for you to deal with. You can be going through one of the dungeons and all of the sudden you are encountering a surrounding of dinosaurs. You could just be walking through town and out of nowhere you find that you have fallen into a trap. You then call for help and your character sits and waits while you transfer to another character and try to rescue yourself. Not to mention the end boss. Throughout the game you have encounter simple things and have had a great chance at success. The final boss is quite nerve racking and could possibly cause you to have nightmares. This game is sincerely unique and is for anyone who enjoys playing RPG games. Even if you are not a fan of RPG games, you are sure to enjoy this one. Not only is the game fun and exciting, but the music itself is wonderful.
I am sure you are sitting there wondering why you haven’t heard of this game if I am describing it as being so wonderful. To be quite honest, it was a great hit in Japan. It was known as Mother 2 there. It is actually a sequel. Due to poor advertising and marketing for this game, it did not sell well in the US. Therefore, it was not released in Europe. I have only been able to play the game by emulation.
I do recommend that anyone enjoying RPG games and wanting to find something new and interesting, play this game by any way possible.
