Nintendo | Three Great Nintendo Ds Titles For People On The Go

December 1, 2009 – 11:54 am

Hand-held games have come a long way since the original Gameboy and the Nintendo DS takes hand-held gaming to a new level by incorporating a touch screen and a microphone. Here are three of the best Nintendo DS games for quick pick up and play.

1. Clubhouse Games. This game is sort of hard to find now because it came out a few years ago now and was picked up by many people. It is also a game that never gets old because you can always find a game to pass the time. With over 40 different games to play, including bowling, solitaire and poker with custom poker tables, you will find something to occupy your time no matter how long or short that time happens to be. Many of these games can be picked up and played for just a few short minutes, and if you have the time, there are deeper games on here as well like Chess, Mahjong solitaire and Field Tactics. Many of these games can also be played online using the integrated Wi-Fi as well.

2. N+. If you are a ninja at heart, then N+ is your game. In this pocket sized version of the PC game, you control a ninja that must navigate through levels to collect gold on the way to the end of the level. Along the way, you will have to avoid rockets, spikes and other deadly traps that are meant to end your ninja life. There are great physics in the game and you can easily pick this game up and play it for a few minutes or a few hours depending on how much time you have. Be warned though, the further into the game you get, the harder the levels become, almost to the point of impossibility.

3. Space Invaders Extreme 2. The classic arcade game gets a whole new makeover as you pilot a ship while trying to stop an alien advance. The game takes place over both of the screens and incorporates some really kicking beats into the soundtrack. Every laser you shoot and every alien ship you destroy creates a sound and you can play to the music to create your own rhythm. There are even boss battles and fully moving backgrounds to keep the action fast-paced and frantic. This is a game for those looking to get their 80’s arcade fantasies back and is also perfect for those on the go as the battles are fast and the game can be completed at your own pace.

While the poker tables in Clubhouse Games aren’t going to replace Vegas anytime soon, they do provide a great sense of fun, without losing real money.
