Does $100 sound like a good price for a Nintendo DS? That’s how much they’ll cost starting June 5th, Nintendo of America announced today. Additionally, six Mario games on the DS will receive new red packaging to help them stand out better on store shelves.
The six games are: New Super Mario Bros. , Mario Kart DS , Super Mario 64 DS , Mario Luigi : Bowser’s Inside Story , Mario vs. Donkey Kong : Mini-Land Mayhem! and Mario Party DS . Nintendo also released up-to-date sales figures for all six games. Note that these apply only to America:

Meanwhile, the Nintendo 3DS won’t be seeing any Mario games until later in the year, or perhaps even early next year. Nintendo plan to release Super Mario 3D and Mario Kart on the 3DS by the end of March 2012 , which is the end of Nintendo’s fiscal year.
Nintendo also recently cut the price of the Wii in the U.S. to $150, and rolled out a new Mario Kart Wii bundle to replace the older Wii Sports / Wii Sports Resort bundle.
